Make a mark! Dot Day is September 15th

International Dot Day is named for the classic Peter H. Reynolds storybook The Dot. Available in English and many other languages, the book shares the story of a girl who begins a journey of self-discovery after a caring teacher challenges her to “make her mark.”

LTS wants to see your Dot Day celebrations and art!
The beginning of a new school year is the perfect time to remind students (and staff!) of their importance and the mark that they are leaving, big or small.

If you would like to participate, please read The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds aloud to students and attached to this post you will find a template for an art activity. You can also show off your creativity with your own activities (painting, photography, sculpture, the ideas are infinite!) which can be done individually, as a class, or as a school. Please send in pictures or examples through our Google Form by September 22nd.
If you would like more ideas you can go to the International Dot Day website: https://www.internationaldotday.org/

We can't wait to see what you come up with!
